About Movelo

Movelo is an on-demand freight matching platform connecting shippers with trusted logistics carriers across Tanzania. We make it simple for businesses to move cargo — from a single pallet to full truckloads — while giving carriers a steady stream of loads on routes they already run. By bringing transport online, Movelo replaces phone calls, brokers, and guesswork with a transparent marketplace where every shipment, bid, and delivery is tracked from pickup to drop-off.

The platform is built for two groups. Shippers — manufacturers, distributors, traders, and importers — post their cargo details, pickup and delivery points, and timelines, then review competing carrier bids to find the right truck at a fair price. Carriers — independent truck owners and logistics companies — discover nearby loads, bid on the ones that fit their fleet and routes, and manage pickups, in-transit updates, and proof-of-delivery in one place. Movelo adds real-time tracking, in-app messaging, verified carrier profiles with ratings, and configurable commission so the economics stay clear for everyone.

Movelo is built and maintained by the Movelo team, a group focused on simplifying transport and improving cargo efficiency across East Africa. Our mission is to make freight movement in Tanzania faster, more reliable, and more transparent — so goods reach their destination on time and businesses of every size can grow.
